Emirates has announced major aircraft deployments and product upgrades across its global network. The airline is expanding the availability of Premium Economy and improving the overall onboard experience for passengers.
A380 Retrofit Programme Update
As part of its ongoing retrofit programme, Emirates will complete the upgrade of its first high-density, two-class Airbus A380 by mid-April. The aircraft will be reconfigured into a new three-class layout that includes:
76 Business Class seats
56 Premium Economy seats
437 Economy Class seats
The first upgraded A380 will operate flights EK903/904 between Dubai and Amman from 14 April to 31 May. From 1 June, it will begin serving Prague on flights EK139/140.
By November, Emirates plans to complete the retrofit of all 15 of its two-class A380 aircraft into the new three-class configuration.
New Aircraft Deployments from March
Emirates will introduce upgraded aircraft across several destinations in Europe, North America, Asia, Africa, the Middle East, and the Indian Ocean.
Europe and North America
New York (JFK):
From 1 April, flights EK201/202 will operate with a four-class retrofitted A380 on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Saturdays. From 1 June, this will become a daily service.
Zurich:
From 1 March, flights EK085/086 will be operated with a four-class A380 featuring Premium Economy. Emirates will offer more than 1,500 weekly Premium Economy seats to and from Zurich.
Milan:
From 10 May, flights EK101/102 will be served by a retrofitted three-class Boeing 777-200LR with Premium Economy.
Dublin:
From 25 October, flights EK165/166 will operate with a three-class retrofitted Boeing 777-200LR. After this deployment, all 21 weekly flights to Dublin will offer Premium Economy.
Asia
Ho Chi Minh City:
From 1 May, flights EK392/393 will operate with a three-class retrofitted Boeing 777-200LR. Emirates will provide over 600 weekly Premium Economy seats on double daily services.
Hong Kong:
From 1 October, flights EK382/383 will upgrade from a Boeing 777-300ER to an A380. From 1 December, the route will be served by a retrofitted A380 featuring Premium Economy.
Africa
Entebbe:
From 29 March, flights EK729/730 will be operated by the new Airbus A350.
Middle East
Basra:
From 1 May, flights EK945/946 will operate with a retrofitted four-class Boeing 777-300ER. All five weekly flights to Basra will offer Premium Economy.
Indian Ocean
Mauritius:
From 29 March, flights EK709/710 will operate with a retrofitted three-class Boeing 777-200LR.
Additional Deployment
From 1 October, Emirates will deploy a three-class A380 on flights EK362/363 between Dubai and Guangzhou, offering First Class, Business Class, and Economy Class seats.
Passengers can book tickets through emirates.com, the Emirates App, online and offline travel agents, and Emirates retail stores. WeChat Pay is available on emirates.com.
Emirates also stated that aircraft deployment dates may be advanced if refurbishment is completed earlier.
