UAE Ambassador to Italy, Abdullah Ali Al Saboosi, and Mohammed Ahmed Al Harbi, Director General of the Emirates Arabian Horse Society (EAHS), were present during the winners' crowning ceremony. Their involvement with local officials and horse breeders highlighted the UAE's prominent role in enhancing Arabian equestrian culture worldwide.
The competition featured 98 splendid horses from around 72 owners in Italy and beyond. Categories ranged from yearling fillies to senior stallions, with two days of qualifying rounds leading to the championship finals where exceptional horses received gold medals.
Noteworthy performances included gold medalists like “Pavala RA” in the Yearling Fillies Championship and “Siena Del Palazzo” in the Senior Mares category. The male divisions showcased fierce competition as well, with “Tofaan Sweetat” winning gold among Yearling Colts.
This Italian round of the Global Cup is crucial for the tournament’s European presence, bolstering its international stature and appreciation for the Arabian horse. The Emirates Arabian Horse Society commented on the event's importance as a cultural exchange platform among equestrian enthusiasts.
More than just competitions, the EAHGC represents a cultural initiative aimed at safeguarding Arabian horse heritage. Through this championship, the UAE shares values associated with these noble creatures, promoting participation among breeders globally.
The second edition of the EAHGC will conclude next month in Kuwait, wrapping up a tour across ten countries. The Global Cup showcases the UAE's unwavering commitment to fostering equestrian excellence and authentic Arab heritage.
The championship coincided with the Fieracavalli Exhibition, one of the oldest and most esteemed equestrian showcases globally. The association of the EAHGC with this event further emphasizes the UAE's growing presence in the international equestrian scene.
This gathering reaffirmed the UAE's key role in advancing equestrian sports. With the final leg of the Cup on the horizon, the UAE's vision of fostering cultural appreciation and unity through Arabian horses remains steadfast.
