The Emirates Arabian Horse Breeders Championship wrapped up on Friday night after four days of thrilling competition at the Butheeb Equestrian Academy. Organized by the Emirates Arabian Horse Society (EAHS), this event is a key highlight for Arabian horse breeders in the UAE. A remarkable total of 421 horses took part, representing 216 owners from various studs nationwide. The competition showcased both young and senior horses, allowing owners to present their finest in front of judges and enthusiasts alike.
The closing day kicked off with the Yearling Fillies category, showcasing young female horses with fierce competition. Sultana BHM from Bin Humaila Stud secured the gold medal, with Balkis Al Noor of Al Noor Stud earning silver, and Falheh Al Hawajer, owned by Ghanem Al Hajeri, clinching bronze. Judges commended the exceptional quality and beauty displayed in this category.
Next up was the Junior Fillies Championship, where slightly older females contended. The gold medal went to Sheikha Alyah, owned by Mohammed Abdullatif Al Ali. Lillian Alsaad, owned by Adel Omar Al Marzouqi, took silver, while bronze was awarded to Haya Al Fahaid, owned by Mohammed Saeed Al Hajeri. The audience admired the grace and poise of the participating horses.
The Senior Mares category featured some of the most seasoned female horses. J.M.H Hajer, owned by Juma Al Shemeili, claimed the gold, with MZ Rafigah from Khalifa Al Noaimi’s stable taking silver, and Roaah Mughaider, belonging to Rashid Saif Al Zaabi, winning bronze. The senior mares made a lasting impression with their strength and elegance.
In the Yearling Colts Championship, young male horses showcased their potential, with JS Romeo, owned by Abdullah Abdulrahman Al Baydaei, winning gold. Lahoob TH from Al Thuraya Stud earned silver, while Gharbi Alyah, owned by Hamad Ahmed Abdullatif Al Ali, took bronze, signaling promising futures for male horses in breeding.
The Junior Colts Championship featured fierce competition, where A L A Sinjar claimed gold for owner Mohammed Buti Alabduli. Silver went to Sarab BHM from Bin Humaila Stud, and bronze was awarded to Dahim Al Jawaher from Al Jawaher Stud, highlighting the emerging talent in this category.
The championship culminated with the Senior Stallions category, featuring mature and robust male horses. The golden medal was awarded to Ramz Alyah, owned by Mohammed Ahmed Abdullatif Al Ali, while JS Al Sultan from Al Jawaher Stud took silver and Falah Al Hawajer, owned by Ghanem Al Hajeri, secured bronze, culminating the event with enthusiastic applause from the audience.
In conjunction with the main championship, the Arab Breeders Championship commenced on Friday afternoon, featuring 103 horses from about 57 owners. The opening day included competitions for Yearling Fillies in Sections A and B, followed by Junior Fillies for two- and three-year-olds, also divided into Sections A and B. Older mares and Yearling Colts showcased their talents on the first day.
The following day included Junior Colts in Sections A and B. This was followed by the Stallions category for horses aged four and above. The event will wrap up with six major finals: Yearling Fillies, Yearling Colts, Junior Fillies, Junior Colts, Senior Mares, and Senior Stallions championships, promising high levels of participation and excitement for breeders and fans.
