Emirates Skywards Celebrates 25 Years With 25 Million Miles

Post by : Mariam Al-Faris

Emirates Skywards, the loyalty programme of Emirates Airlines, is celebrating its 25th anniversary by giving away 25 million Skywards miles to its 37 million members worldwide. The celebration will last 25 days and began today, marking a special milestone for the programme since its launch in 2000.

How Members Can Participate

Members have the opportunity to win between 100,000 and 250,000 miles, with one grand prize winner receiving a million miles. To participate, members need to earn miles through Emirates flights, flydubai, or participating partners during the promotional period, which runs until October 20.

Statement From Emirates Leadership

Dr Nejib Ben Khedher, Divisional Senior Vice President of Emirates Skywards, said, “25 years! We are thrilled to celebrate such a monumental milestone. What better way to celebrate than to give back to our community with 25 days of nonstop surprises and offers?” This statement reflects the airline’s focus on rewarding its loyal members.

Special Commemorative Livery

As part of the silver jubilee celebrations, Emirates will unveil a commemorative aircraft livery in striking silver. This special aircraft will operate on global routes starting next month, creating a unique experience for passengers and marking the programme’s 25-year journey.

Additional Promotional Offers

During the 25-day campaign, Emirates is offering several additional incentives. These include 50% bonus miles for Emirates and flydubai bookings, and 25% bonus miles for partner airline bookings, shopping, and dining activities. Special activities at Dubai International Airport in early October will include interactive quizzes, complimentary lounge access, and free ice cream from branded Skywards trucks.

Growth Of Emirates Skywards

Since its launch in 2000 with 76,000 members, Emirates Skywards has grown to more than 37 million members across 190 countries. The programme adds around 78,000 new enrollments weekly and partners with over 100 companies. Members can access more than 1,400 flight destinations, 30,000 hotel properties, and 7,200 retail brands worldwide.

Focus On Member Experience

Dr Ben Khedher emphasized that the programme’s success comes from prioritizing members. “We continuously introduce personalised offerings to create valuable and memorable rewards for our members worldwide,” he said. Skywards aims to provide meaningful experiences that go beyond flight bookings.

Awards And Recognition

Emirates Skywards was recently awarded the title of ‘Best Global Airline Loyalty Program’ at the International Loyalty Awards 2025. The programme’s recognition highlights its commitment to excellence, innovation, and customer satisfaction.

Membership Tiers And Benefits

Skywards offers four membership tiers, each with exclusive privileges. Members can earn miles through Emirates flights, partner airlines, shopping, and lifestyle activities. These miles can be redeemed for flights, upgrades, hotel stays, and major experiences, including global sporting events, providing members with flexibility and valuable rewards.

Encouraging Participation

Members are encouraged to participate in the 25-day campaign before October 20 to take full advantage of the promotional activities, prizes, and special offers. The initiative provides an exciting opportunity for members to earn additional miles while celebrating Emirates Skywards’ 25-year journey.

With 25 years of rewarding loyalty, Emirates Skywards continues to innovate and expand its offerings. The programme aims to maintain strong engagement with members, provide unique experiences, and further strengthen Emirates’ position as a leading global airline.
