Farah Khan Ali Remembers Her Beloved Mother Zarine Khan

Post by : Meena Hassan

Jewellery designer Farah Khan Ali has honored her late mother, the former actress Zarine Khan, who passed away at the age of 81 on November 7.

In an emotional Instagram video, Farah showcased Zarine singing Aaj Jane Ki Zid Na Karo by Farida Khanum, performing Love Me Tender on a shikara, and joyfully dancing with her to O Haseena Zulfonwale Jane Jahan. The clip included a heartfelt message from Zarine that emphasized the importance of family, stating, “Family is wealth. You must always stay bonded, whether I’m here today or not. Remember, nobody is like your family.”

In her post, Farah expressed, “To my mother, my soul mate, the woman who touched many lives with her love, warmth and shine. You will be missed because no one can ever be like you. Your legacy will always inspire many and I promise to walk in your footsteps and keep our family bonded forever.”

Comments poured in from celebrities, including Dia Mirza, who referred to Zarine as “a precious person”, praising her “legacy of love and kindness”, while Priyanka Chopra simply commented, “Angel.”

Sussanne Khan, Zarine’s other daughter, also shared a poignant note, describing her mother as her “guiding light” and “best friend.”

Zarine Khan is survived by her husband Sanjay Khan and their four children—Sussanne, Simone, Farah, and Zayed Khan. The couple celebrated their 59th wedding anniversary earlier this year.
