Farah Khan Responds to Kajol’s Relevance Comment with Grace

Post by : Meena Hassan

Bollywood director Farah Khan recently graced the talk show hosted by Kajol and Twinkle Khanna, titled Two Much With Kajol and Twinkle. A moment from their discussion went viral when Kajol's comment regarding Farah's relevance in the film industry prompted backlash, while Farah's composed reaction received widespread commendation.

In a clip that circulated online, Kajol remarked, “And you are relevant till today, and at least you believe that you are relevant.” Farah calmly responded,

“Yeah, see I don’t like that word, Kajol, because I feel every person is relevant in some way or the other, even if you’re not working.”

As Kajol attempted to clarify her statement, Farah emphasized,

“I always felt I’m relevant to my children, my husband, my mum. I think that’s a bad word somehow — it puts down people who are not working actively.”

Public Praises Farah's Composure

Social media users expressed overwhelming support for Farah's insightful comeback. One admirer noted, “Farah Khan embodies the epitome of Bollywood.” Another stated, “Loved how Farah put her in her place — they finally got a taste of their own medicine.”

Criticism was directed at the hosts as well, with comments like, “Twinkle and Kajol think they’re being cheeky, but they come off as inconsiderate.” Fans celebrated Farah’s reaction as “graceful,” emphasizing the significance of empathy and respect in dialogues.

Farah and Kajol's Projects

Farah recently choreographed “Gafoor”, a popular song from Aryan Khan’s debut film The Ba**ds of Bollywood*, featuring Tamannaah Bhatia. She also connects with audiences through her delightful celebrity cooking vlog series.

Kajol was last seen in Sarzameen and presently co-hosts Two Much With Kajol and Twinkle, featuring new episodes every Thursday on Prime Video.
