Ajaz Khan Faces FIR for Spreading Objectionable Fake News

Post by : Meena Hassan

A First Information Report (FIR) has been lodged against actor Ajaz Khan, known from Bigg Boss, for disseminating fake news and objectionable material on social media. The case is filed with the Crime Branch in Indore.

Rajesh Dandotiya, Indore's Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police, confirmed that Khan was called in for questioning following the FIR's submission.

“The FIR against Ajaz Khan pertains to the sharing of inaccurate news and inappropriate content online. Following the registration of the FIR, he was issued a notice and reported to the station to provide his statement. His mobile device has been confiscated in relation to this ongoing investigation. Thirty-two accounts have been blocked, and complaints have been made against a total of 68 accounts,” stated the ADCP.

This case particularly highlights allegations that a highly sensitive video was disseminated through Ajaz Khan’s social media. The actor was interrogated for about three hours at the police station as part of the legal process.

This is not the first time Ajaz Khan has encountered legal challenges linked to his online activities. Previously, an FIR was also filed regarding a controversial post that was aimed at a YouTuber and his family, which reportedly contained derogatory and offensive remarks.

In October of this year, Khan was granted anticipatory bail by the Delhi High Court, with conditions that included posting a Rs 30,000 bond and providing security in case of his arrest.

Authorities have reiterated their commitment to monitor and act against the spread of fake news and harmful content on social media platforms.
