Five Poisonous Snakes Discovered in Kozhikode Home

Post by : Shakul

In a startling event from Kozhikode, five venomous snakes have been uncovered inside a residence, leaving local residents in a state of panic. This incident took place in Mundakkutty, near Kuttiyadi, and has ignited serious safety concerns in the community.

Reports reveal that the identified snakes are common kraits, known as one of India’s deadliest snakes due to their potent venom. It is rare and concerning to find multiple kraits within a single household.

The first of the snakes was discovered underneath a pillow in a local family's room. The situation intensified when the family disclosed that two children, aged one and eight, frequently slept in the same room with the snake.

Following this initial finding, another snake was spotted in the bathroom, along with three additional snakes in various parts of the house. This alarming discovery involved five snakes in total, which heightened fear among the six family members, including older residents.

Local residents quickly congregated outside the home, as wildlife rescue teams were called to safely extract the snakes. Authorities speculate that the reptiles may have ventured indoors seeking shelter or food, possibly influenced by nearby plant life or shifts in weather patterns.

Experts have cautioned individuals in the vicinity to exercise vigilance, especially during nighttime when common kraits tend to be more active. Residents are advised to scrutinize their surroundings, maintain cleanliness in their homes, and avoid leaving doors or windows ajar without reason.

This incident has caused significant concern in the area, with many residents advocating for heightened awareness and preventive tactics to avert such perilous encounters in the future. Authorities are anticipated to perform inspections throughout the community to ensure resident safety.
