Flydubai Signs New Agreement With TAROM To Expand Travel Options

Post by : Mariam Al-Faris

Through this agreement, flydubai customers now have more options to travel to destinations on TAROM’s domestic and international network. This includes cities such as Athens, Amsterdam, Brussels, Cluj-Napoca, Frankfurt, Madrid, and Paris.

Passengers can enjoy simplified travel itineraries, meaning they can book their flights under a single ticket and check in their baggage through to the final destination. This makes the travel experience more convenient and stress-free.

Flydubai Comments On The Partnership

Ramesh Anantharaman, Divisional Senior Vice President of Revenue Management and Business Effectiveness at flydubai, commented on the new agreement.

He said that adding TAROM to flydubai’s growing list of interline partners allows customers to enjoy better access between Dubai and Eastern and Central Europe. He highlighted that this agreement supports tourism, trade, and cultural exchange and makes travel easier for passengers.

Flydubai’s History In Romania

Flydubai has been operating flights to Bucharest since 2012. Over the years, the airline has seen increased demand for travel to Romania.

By working closely with airline partners like TAROM, flydubai continues to support Dubai’s position as a global aviation hub while creating more opportunities for trade, tourism, and business between the UAE and Romania.

TAROM Comments On The Agreement

Costin Iordache, General Manager of TAROM, welcomed the partnership with flydubai.

He said that this agreement is a natural step in TAROM’s strategy to improve connections between cities they operate in and other interesting travel destinations. The partnership ensures that passengers receive safe, reliable, and convenient travel options while supporting tourism and business.

Travel Experience For Passengers

Passengers flying with flydubai can enjoy different travel experiences depending on the class they choose.

Business Class passengers benefit from lie-flat seats, internationally inspired menus, and hours of entertainment options during the flight. Economy Class passengers can relax in comfortable seats with gentle recline and adjustable leather headrests, making their journey more pleasant.

Flydubai Flight Details

Flydubai operates double daily flights from Dubai International Airport (DXB) to Bucharest Henri Coandă International Airport (OTP).

The airline plans to add Iași as its second destination in Romania from 19 September 2025, further expanding travel options for passengers traveling between the UAE and Romania.

Flydubai’s Growing Network

Flydubai has steadily built a network of over 135 destinations in 57 countries. The airline has opened more than 100 underserved markets that previously did not have direct air links to Dubai.

The carrier operates a modern and efficient fleet of 93 Boeing 737 aircraft, ensuring safe and comfortable travel for passengers worldwide.

Benefits For Trade And Tourism

This new agreement with TAROM is expected to boost trade, tourism, and cultural exchange between the UAE and Romania. Easier access to multiple destinations allows business travelers to reach key cities efficiently while offering tourists more options for travel in Europe.

The partnership also highlights flydubai’s commitment to expanding its network and improving connectivity for passengers in the region.

Focus On Passenger Convenience

One of the main goals of this agreement is to provide passengers with a seamless travel experience.

By offering a single ticket for multiple flights and allowing passengers to check their luggage directly to the final destination, flydubai ensures that travelers save time and avoid the stress of separate bookings or baggage handling.

Supporting Dubai As An Aviation Hub

Through partnerships like this, flydubai continues to strengthen Dubai’s role as a major international aviation hub. By connecting Dubai to more cities in Romania and Europe, the airline helps the UAE remain a key player in global travel and trade.

This agreement is part of flydubai’s broader strategy to enhance international connectivity and open new travel opportunities for passengers.

Long-Term Strategic Partnership

The cooperation with TAROM is also a long-term strategic move. It allows both airlines to share expertise, coordinate schedules, and expand market reach.

Passengers benefit from a wider choice of flights, while both airlines strengthen their positions in regional and international air travel markets.

The new interline agreement between flydubai and TAROM marks an important step in improving travel options for passengers traveling between the UAE, Romania, and other European destinations.

Passengers can now enjoy simpler bookings, better connections, and enhanced travel experiences. The partnership also supports tourism, business, and cultural exchange between regions while reinforcing Dubai’s position as a global aviation hub.
