Giant World Cup Ball Breaks Loose in Storm, Rolls Through El Salvador Streets Like Rocket League Game

Post by : Raina Al-Fahim

A giant World Cup ball broke loose during a storm in El Salvador and turned busy streets into a shocking and unusual scene. The large inflatable football was part of a promotion for the FIFA World Cup and was set up in a popular area of the capital city.

The incident happened in the Zona Rosa district of El Salvador when heavy rain and strong winds hit the area. The storm was powerful enough to break the inflatable loose from its structure, sending it rolling into traffic.

Videos shared online show the giant football moving quickly across the road while drivers and pedestrians looked on in surprise. Some vehicles slowed down to avoid it, while others carefully moved around the bouncing inflatable as it rolled through the streets like a scene from a video game.

At one point, a truck is seen touching the inflatable ball as it crossed the road, but no injuries or major damage were reported. The situation quickly gained attention on social media, where many users compared it to a real-life version of the popular game Rocket League.

People online also reacted with humor, calling the scene strange but entertaining, while some raised concerns about safety and how the inflatable was secured during bad weather.

The unusual moment has now gone viral, showing how a simple promotional display can turn into a dramatic street event during extreme weather conditions.
