A stunning gold-plated car worth about Dh3.67 million (which is around $1 million) became the center of attention at the 55th Watch and Jewellery Middle East Show held at Expo Centre Sharjah on Thursday.
This shiny car is a 2014 Nissan GT-R and is called ‘Gold-Zilla’. What makes it special is that it’s fully covered in beautiful 24-karat gold-plated designs. The car was made by Kuhl Racing, a company from Japan, and decorated by Japanese artist Takahiko Izawa. Every part of the car was carefully engraved by hand, and then finished with real gold. This incredible artwork took more than 2,000 hours to finish!
The exhibition has more than 500 exhibitors, with top brands and designers from both local and international places. Visitors can enjoy seeing rare gold jewelry, luxury watches, and beautiful diamond collections. The show will continue until June 1, 2025.
One of the highlights this year is the Italian Pavilion, which covers a big area of 708 square meters. This section has around 50 exhibitors from Italy, including famous companies and designers in the gold and jewellery industry. The Italian display includes hundreds of jewelry pieces, such as gold and diamond items, rare gems, and fine metals. The pavilion also features a special cultural collection that shows off Italy’s artistic history. Many people visiting the show were amazed by these beautiful displays.
The exhibition is open for visitors on:
Friday from 3:00 pm to 10:00 pm
Saturday and Sunday from 1:00 pm to 10:00 pm
This special event shows off the talent and creativity of designers and brands from many countries, including the UAE, India, Italy, UK, USA, Singapore, China, Japan, Turkey, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, and Lebanon. For the first time, new countries like Russia, Mexico, Tanzania, and Egypt are also taking part in the show.
With amazing jewelry, artistic car designs like Gold-Zilla, and creative displays from around the world, this exhibition is a must-visit event for anyone who loves beauty, art, and luxury!
