Tragic Loss: Odia Singer Humane Sagar Passes Away at 34

Odia singer Humane Sagar, celebrated for his contributions to regional music, sadly passed away on November 17 at AIIMS Bhubaneswar. His death at the age of 34 shocked fans and the broader music community across Odisha.

After the announcement of his passing, his final Instagram post quickly gained traction. Posted on November 7 from a radio studio, the clip features him performing the song “Bhagya Rekha.” Fans have since filled the comments with messages like “RIP” and “Miss U,” viewing the post as a cherished last memory of his artistry.

Health Struggles and Hospitalization

Humane was admitted to AIIMS Bhubaneswar on October 14, where his health initially showed signs of improvement, but his condition soon declined. Medical professionals treated him for a multitude of severe issues, including bilateral pneumonia, acute-on-chronic liver failure (ACLF), and multi-organ dysfunction. Unfortunately, despite extensive care, he passed away at 9:08 pm on November 17.

Tributes from Fans

In the wake of his passing, the Instagram reel from November 7 became a poignant tribute point for his followers. Numerous fans shared their sadness and disbelief through prayers and condolences, reminiscing about his ten years in Odia playback singing. Comments often reflected the sentiment that he was “gone too soon.”

Just days before his death, Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik had posted on social media expressing his concern and offering prayers for Humane’s recovery, saying, “Pray for his swift and complete recovery… Get well soon, Human Sagar.”

Musical Legacy

Humane Sagar began his career with the title track of “Ishq Hi Tu,” composed by Abhijit Majumdar. Over the years, he amassed a collection of well-loved hits, such as “Tuma Otha Tale” and “Chehera.” His talent also extended to Hindi music, marking his debut with the album “Mera Yeh Jahan.”
