India A Set to Compete Against Oman in Asia Cup Rising Stars 2025

Post by : Mariam Al-Faris

India A is gearing up for a vital clash in the Asia Cup Rising Stars 2025, taking on Oman this Tuesday. Following an 8-wicket defeat against Pakistan, the team is determined to recover after their earlier triumph against the UAE. This upcoming match is essential for India A as they look to establish their authority in Group B and achieve a second victory in the tournament.

Opening their campaign with a solid win over the UAE, India A faced a setback in their last outing against Pakistan, revealing certain challenges, particularly regarding batting stability and bowling precision. Captain Jitesh Sharma and his team are eager to rectify these issues and regain their competitive edge against Oman.

Conversely, Oman had an inconsistent start, losing to Pakistan but managing a narrow 2-wicket victory over the UAE in their subsequent match. With a split record of one win and one loss, Oman is keen to maintain their momentum and pose a challenge to India A in this significant fixture.

The match is scheduled for November 16 at West End Park International Cricket Stadium in Doha, Qatar, starting at 8:00 PM IST. Fans can catch the live stream exclusively on Sony LIV or watch on Sony Sports Ten 1 SD & HD for live television coverage.

India A is expected to field a formidable line-up featuring Priyansh Arya, Vaibhav Suryavanshi, Nehal Wadhera, Naman Dhir, Jitesh Sharma (w/c), Ramandeep Singh, Ashutosh Sharma, Harsh Dubey, Yash Thakur, Gurjapneet Singh, and Suyash Sharma. This squad combines seasoned players with fresh talent, capable of thriving in high-pressure situations.

Oman will likely present a team led by captain Hammad Mirza, with Sufyan Yousaf as wicketkeeper, alongside key players like Karan Sonavale, Wasim Ali, Narayan Saishiv, Aryan Bisht, Zikria Islam, Muzahir Raza, Shafiq Jan, Samay Shrivastava, and Sufyan Mehmood. Their strategy will involve leveraging both experience and emerging talents to challenge India A.

Both teams are focused on enhancing their net run rate and points, which are critical for progressing in the group. India A aims to form strong partnerships, rotate the strike efficiently, and apply pressure through disciplined bowling. Oman, on their part, will seek to restrict the potent Indian batting order and make the most of any mistakes to secure an upset victory.

The Asia Cup Rising Stars 2025 serves as a stage for budding cricketers to exhibit their skills internationally. A win for India A against Oman would uplift spirits and create positive momentum as they head into upcoming encounters, keeping alive their aspirations to lead the group. Fans can anticipate a competitive and thrilling match as both sides vie for advancement in the tournament.
