Indian National Found Dead at Phuket Music Festival Amid Unexplained Circumstances

Post by : Meena Hassan

A 28-year-old Indian national has tragically died under unclear circumstances during the Electric Daisy Carnival (EDC) in Phuket, Thailand. This incident occurred early on January 18, leaving both local attendees and visitors in disbelief.

The deceased, Jain Saksham, was participating in the three-day music festival in Cherng Talay. After the event concluded, he moved to an adjacent parking area where witnesses observed him climbing onto a parked pickup truck. Reports indicate he seemed disoriented and behaved erratically, even causing damage to other vehicles on Bandon-Choeng Thale Road.

Emergency services were alerted, and Saksham was quickly transported to Thalang Hospital as concerns grew over his behavior. Medical professionals found him in shock and he lost consciousness shortly after arriving. Despite all attempts to save him, he succumbed, and the exact cause of death remains unidentified.

Authorities noted that there were no apparent signs of trauma or violence on his body. An autopsy has been scheduled at Vachira Phuket Hospital to determine the reasons behind this sudden tragic event. Police are also investigating other factors, which may include substance use or pre-existing health issues.

Officials from the Indian embassy are engaging with local authorities to inform his family. Once the autopsy is finalized, relatives will be permitted to reclaim the body and conduct final rites.

This shocking event has deeply affected festival-goers and the surrounding community, underscoring the imperative for safety measures at large public gatherings.
