Indian Markets Poised for New Records as Sensex and Nifty Surge

Indian Markets Poised for New Records as Sensex and Nifty Surge

Post by : Bianca Haleem

The Indian stock market is gearing up for an optimistic start on Thursday, bolstered by a global rally that has significantly boosted investor confidence. Leading indices, Sensex and Nifty 50, are approaching peak levels due to continued buying enthusiasm, primarily in banking and large-cap stocks.

Positive Signals from GIFT Nifty

The offshore GIFT Nifty signifies a robust setup, trading around 26,447, reflecting a premium of 66 points over the last close of Nifty futures. This suggests a promising opening for Indian exchanges, coinciding with the traders’ optimism.

Sensex Nears Historical Highs

On Wednesday, Sensex recorded a remarkable uptick of 1,022.50 points (1.21%), closing at 85,609.51, which emphasizes strong buying interest. Analysts point out support levels between 85,000 and 85,300, and watch for resistance around 86,000–86,200. Holding above these levels could unlock new highs.

Nifty 50 Following Bullish Trends

Similarly, Nifty 50 gained 320.50 points (1.24%), closing at 26,205.30. Market analysts observe a long bullish candle formation, indicative of ongoing upward movement. Key resistance levels are spotted near 26,270–26,300, with potential to target 26,500 and higher. Current support around 26,050–26,000 may present buying options during dips.

Bank Nifty Nears a Key Milestone

Bank Nifty showcased a strong performance as well, climbing 707.75 points (1.20%) to settle at 59,528.05. Maintaining levels above 59,400 could see the index challenge the 60,000 mark imminently. Traders are encouraged to adopt a buy-on-dips approach, with support noted between 59,000 and 58,841.

Market Sentiment Overview

Overall, investor sentiment remains cautiously positive. Sustained performance above crucial thresholds in Sensex and Nifty could lead to new record highs, while profit-taking at resistance may induce temporary fluctuations. Market participants are attentively monitoring global trends alongside local dynamics to inform the next steps in this rally.
