Pacers Beat Kings as Nembhard Shines With 28-Point Game

Post by : Mariam Al-Faris

Andrew Nembhard delivered an impressive performance with 28 points and a season-high 12 assists, helping the Indiana Pacers defeat the Sacramento Kings 116-105 on Monday in Indianapolis. Bennedict Mathurin added 25 points and Pascal Siakam scored 23 as the Pacers continued their strong recovery, winning four of their last six games after a difficult 2-16 start. Indiana lost a 19-point lead in the second half, but closed the match with a powerful 19-4 run in the final minutes, with Nembhard scoring 12 of those points.

For the Kings, Russell Westbrook recorded a triple-double with 24 points, 12 rebounds and 14 assists, marking his record-extending 207th and his fourth of the season. He completed the triple-double before the end of the third quarter. DeMar DeRozan scored 20 points and Zach LaVine added 16, but Sacramento suffered its fifth loss in six games.

In another matchup, the Phoenix Suns edged the Minnesota Timberwolves 108-105. Mark Williams led Phoenix with 22 points and seven rebounds, while Collin Gillespie added 19. Dillion Brooks scored 18 as the Suns defeated Minnesota by a narrow margin for the second time this season. Anthony Edwards delivered an outstanding 40-point game for the Timberwolves, whose five-game winning streak came to an end. Julius Randle contributed 21 points.

The San Antonio Spurs earned a close 135-132 victory over the New Orleans Pelicans. Dylan Harper hit the game-winning shot with 9.1 seconds left, completing a career-high 22-point night. The Spurs held a 20-point halftime lead, but the Pelicans fought back to take a brief advantage in the final period. Harrison Barnes scored 24 points for San Antonio, and Stephon Castle added 18 in his return after nine missed games. For New Orleans, Derik Queen recorded his first triple-double with 33 points, 10 rebounds and 10 assists, while Trey Murphy III scored 32. Despite strong individual performances, the Pelicans fell to their seventh straight loss, showing ongoing struggles in NBA action, triple-double, game-winning, Pacers victory, and Pelicans slump.
