Filming of Jumanji 3 Commences as Cast Reunites for Another Epic Adventure

Post by : Meena Hassan

Filming for ‘Jumanji 3’ has officially commenced, heralding the return of one of cinema’s beloved adventure series. The production team shared an exhilarating behind-the-scenes image showcasing Kevin Hart, Dwayne Johnson, Jack Black, and Karen Gillan in their iconic roles, as they kick off this latest adventure. The post quipped, “Look who’s on the loose,” creating a buzz among loyal fans.

Kevin Hart enthusiastically shared the image, conveying his excitement about the project and suggesting that this installment might be their grandest yet.

Following the immense success of both Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle (2017) and Jumanji: The Next Level (2019), this untitled sequel aims to captivate audiences in theatres on December 11, 2026. Director Jake Kasdan returns, collaborating with co-writers Jeff Pinkner and Scott Rosenberg.

Just a day before filming kicked off, Dwayne Johnson delighted fans by sharing behind-the-scenes footage from the Universal Studios backlot. He expressed his nostalgia about returning to Los Angeles for the shoot.

Johnson also revealed a special detail regarding his character, showing that he will don a necklace featuring the original dice from the 1995 Jumanji film, honoring Robin Williams and the franchise's enduring legacy as they dive into what he termed as “our very last Jumanji.”

Joining the returning cast are Nick Jonas, Alex Wolff, Madison Iseman, and others, with Johnson mentioning that the recent table read was filled with laughter and camaraderie.

With previous films scoring spectacular box office results—Welcome to the Jungle grossing over $950 million and The Next Level bringing in more than $801 million—the anticipation is high as Jumanji 3 gears up for another thrilling cinematic experience in 2026.
