Reality television star and entrepreneur Kim Kardashian has updated fans on her legal endeavors, revealing she did not pass the California Bar Exam. Regardless of this challenge, the founder of SKIMS is committed to continuing her journey toward becoming an attorney.
In a post on Instagram, she noted, "Well...I'm not a lawyer yet, I just play a very well-dressed one on TV." Reflecting on her six-year journey, she stated, "Six years into this law journey, and I'm still all in until I pass the bar. No shortcuts, no giving up – just more studying and even more determination."
Kardashian expressed her gratitude to her supporters, highlighting that falling short does not signify failure. "Thank you to everyone who has supported and encouraged me along the way so far. Failing short isn't failure – it's fuel. I was so close to passing the exam, and that only motivated me even more. Let's go!"
Her legal journey began in 2018 when she chose to embark on an apprenticeship with a law firm in San Francisco—an alternative to the traditional law school route available in California and three additional states. In 2021, she successfully passed the baby bar exam, also known as the First-Year Law Student's Examination, after attempting it four times.
Kardashian has regularly shared milestones from her journey with fans. Upon passing the baby bar exam, she posted on X (formerly Twitter), "OMFGGGG I PASSED THE BABY BAR EXAM!!!!" She viewed this achievement as a moment of personal pride, recognizing the obstacles of her unique pathway into the legal profession. "Looking in the mirror, I am really proud of the woman looking back today. For anyone unfamiliar with my law school journey, please know this wasn't easy or handed to me," she remarked.
The reality star also addressed the skepticism she faced along the way, explaining how many distinguished lawyers deemed her path nearly impossible. Nevertheless, she remained resolute, asserting it was her only available option. "It feels so so sooooo good to be here and on my way to achieving my goals," she added.
Kim Kardashian's journey continues to inspire many by exemplifying resilience, perseverance, and the determination to overcome obstacles on her unconventional path to becoming a licensed attorney.
