Lava is poised to enhance its smartphone portfolio in India with the introduction of the Agni 4. Aiming for a price tag under ₹30,000, this smartphone is designed to deliver high-end aesthetics and robust performance to budget-conscious consumers. Notably, Lava is launching an innovative Demo@Home initiative. From November 20 to 24, select residents in Bengaluru, Delhi, and Mumbai will be invited to experience the device firsthand, guided by Lava's engineers at their residences.
The Agni 4 boasts a stunning aluminium alloy frame complemented by a matte AG glass back, slim bezels measuring just 1.7 mm, and comes in two attractive colors: Phantom Black and Lunar Mist White. This design not only enhances aesthetics but also durability and ease of use.
Powering the device is the MediaTek Dimensity 8350 5G chip (4nm, clocking up to 3.35GHz), with the smartphone scoring over 1.4 million on AnTuTu (V10). It features 8GB of RAM (expandable to 16GB) paired with 256GB of UFS 4.0 storage, alongside an advanced 4300 mm² vapor-chamber cooling system and a dedicated Game Booster mode for uninterrupted performance.
The display is a highlight, showcasing a 6.67-inch 1.5K AMOLED screen with a refresh rate of 120Hz, peak brightness hitting 2400 nits, a color depth of 10 bits, 446 PPI, and the ability to render 1.07 billion colors. This ensures vivid visuals even in bright sunlight.
For photography enthusiasts, the device is outfitted with a 50MP primary rear camera featuring OIS, complemented by an 8MP ultra-wide camera and another 50MP front camera. Both front and rear cameras support 4K video recording at 60fps. Enhanced features like AI scene recognition, skin-tone adjustments, and Dual Conversion Gain improve the overall photographic output.
Focusing on durability, the Agni 4 carries an IP64 rating for dust and water resistance, secured by Corning Gorilla Glass, wet-touch operation, and a reinforced architecture able to withstand an hour of rainfall. Additionally, users can benefit from a programmable Action Key with over 100 customizable shortcuts, enhancing user convenience.
Lava's commitment to its Agni 4 is fortified through the Agni Promise, which provides doorstep replacement for any manufacturing defects, no unnecessary pre-installed software, along with three years of Android updates, four years of security updates, and continual software enhancements—ensuring a dependable user experience for years to come.
