The human cost of the ongoing conflict in Lebanon continues to rise, with health authorities reporting a significant increase in casualties linked to Israeli military operations. According to the latest figures released by Lebanon’s Ministry of Public Health, thousands of people have been killed or injured since the escalation of hostilities earlier this year.
The Health Emergency Operations Center stated that the cumulative death toll from Israeli attacks between March 2 and June 10 has reached 3,696. During the same period, 11,413 people have been reported injured, highlighting the severe humanitarian impact of the conflict on civilians across the country.
Despite the announcement of an initial ceasefire on April 16 and two subsequent extensions, military operations and air raids have continued in several areas. Southern Lebanon remains one of the most heavily affected regions, where repeated strikes have caused widespread destruction to infrastructure and residential communities.
Lebanese authorities have expressed concern over the continuing violence, warning that prolonged military activity is placing additional pressure on hospitals, emergency services, and humanitarian organizations already struggling to respond to the growing crisis.
The conflict has displaced thousands of residents, forcing many families to leave their homes in search of safer areas. Humanitarian agencies continue to monitor conditions on the ground as relief efforts face challenges due to ongoing security concerns and damaged infrastructure.
Regional and international observers have repeatedly called for restraint and renewed diplomatic efforts aimed at preventing further escalation. Concerns remain high that continued hostilities could further destabilize the region and worsen the humanitarian situation.
As tensions persist, officials are urging all parties to prioritize civilian safety and support efforts toward a sustainable ceasefire. The latest casualty figures underscore the devastating consequences of the conflict and the urgent need for a lasting political solution.
