BSE 'A' Group Faces Major Downturn on November 14th

On November 14, 2025, the BSE's 'A' group experienced significant sell-offs, with several major stocks suffering substantial losses during the afternoon session. The downturn was largely driven by mid-cap stock pressures, while trading volumes exceeded typical levels, signaling increased activity from investors.

Leading the decline was Prakash Industries Ltd, which saw a sharp drop of 6.03%, trading at ₹147.30 by 14:46 IST. The volume shot up to 82,614 shares, much higher than its one-month average of 35,474, highlighting aggressive selling.

Trailing closely was Premier Energies Ltd, falling 5.72% to ₹1,003, marking it as the second-largest loser. The stock recorded 1.45 lakh shares traded, surpassing its one-month average of 1.27 lakh, indicating sustained selling pressure.

GHCL Ltd also reported significant losses, decreasing by 5.17% to ₹607.70. Transaction volumes were modest, with 12,294 shares exchanged, in comparison to its one-month average of 14,149 shares.

Gabriel India Ltd saw a decrease of 4.87%, currently priced at ₹1,169.80, ranking as the fourth-largest decline. The trading volume was notable at 43,375 shares, greatly exceeding its average of 12,945 shares, indicating a marked increase in selling pressure.

Mishra Dhatu Nigam Ltd (MIDHANI) also endured declines, falling 4.76% to ₹364.15 with 58,559 shares changing hands, significantly above its average of 20,878 shares, reflecting strong market involvement on the downside.

This widespread decline among key stocks illustrates a cautious market sentiment, with elevated trading volumes suggesting investors are actively adjusting their positions as the trading week unfolds.
