With the fifth and concluding season of Stranger Things set to premiere this month, Millie Bobby Brown shares her heartfelt reflections on a journey that began when she was just 12. The actress, who captured hearts worldwide as the resilient Eleven, describes the experience as both surreal and profoundly emotional. “This was truly surreal and deeply moving,” Millie expresses. “I feel incredibly grateful and honored to have been part of such an extraordinary series and to have portrayed such an amazing character. I feel very blessed.”
Growing up in the public eye, Millie acknowledges the challenges of navigating fame at a young age. “There are inherent pressures to try to 'get it right',” she confides. “If you scrutinized anyone’s journey, you could always find faults. So, it was undoubtedly tough for me.”
Fortunately, she had her fellow cast members — Finn Wolfhard, Noah Schnapp, Gaten Matarazzo, and Caleb McLaughlin — supporting her throughout the process. “We were truly in this together,” she notes. “I feel very fortunate to have had their backing.”
Among the treasured memories, Millie singles out her friendship with Noah Schnapp as particularly special. “I definitely feel like the third Schnapp!” she chuckles. “I honestly can’t imagine my life without Noah. He’s my best friend, and that’s all I’ve ever known. Every friendship I form, I measure against my connection with Noah because it’s so one-of-a-kind. We genuinely have a sibling-like bond.”
As she discusses their relationship, Millie’s voice softens: “We hold immense and unconditional love for each other. Whatever happens, we face it together till the very end. Such friendships are rare, and when you find one, cherish it with all your heart.”
She wraps up her thoughts by highlighting how much she values Noah’s advice, and the sentiment is mutual. “We always look out for each other. Our connection feels so genuine since we knew each other before all the fame. I genuinely wish the best for him, and he feels the same. In this industry, it's difficult to trust others’ intentions, but with him, I never have to doubt. His intentions are always pure and loving.”
As Millie Bobby Brown prepares to say goodbye to Stranger Things, her reflections capture not just the conclusion of a major chapter but also the invaluable friendships and lessons it has imparted.
