Competing in the Women’s 1700-rating category, she demonstrated remarkable strategy and skills against top competitors worldwide.

The championship was an intense affair, featuring players from various nations. Throughout the tournament, Al Shamsi faced challenging adversaries, including seasoned competitors from Kazakhstan, India, and beyond. Her strategic planning and consistent performance propelled her into the tournament's final rounds, leading her to a crucial match against a Kazakh competitor.

In a thrilling final, Al Shamsi triumphed over her Kazakh opponent, clinching the top spot in her category. India secured third place in the Women’s 1700-rating section, underscoring the competition's high caliber. This victory was lauded not only by her supporters but also by chess enthusiasts across the UAE and the broader region.

The Al Ain Chess & Mind Games Club, representing Al Shamsi, hailed her win as a groundbreaking milestone. It marks the first time that a female player from the UAE, the Gulf region, and the Arab world has earned a world title in an amateur chess competition.
