Naveen Kaushik Commends Akshaye Khanna’s Dhurandhar Performance

Post by : Meena Hassan

Naveen Kaushik, who portrays Donga in the film Dhurandhar, has shared his thoughts about working alongside Akshaye Khanna. He referred to Akshaye's performance as “a revelation,” commending his profound depth, discipline, and impactful presence on set.

A longtime fan of Akshaye's earlier work, Naveen expressed that Akshaye's return in projects like Dhurandhar is nothing short of inspiring. “He has reconstructed his career with remarkable focus and infuses every scene with unique depth,” Naveen noted.

He also underscored Akshaye's partnership with the director as a brilliant example of harmony. “He grasped the vision flawlessly while also incorporating his personal touch. Observing his confidence and preparedness was an extraordinary experience,” he remarked. Akshaye's “zen-like” concentration allowed him to portray his character with incredible precision and control.

The cast was consistently amazed by Akshaye's performance. Highlights included an emotional hospital scene that he delivered with delicate restraint, as well as an unexpected, expressive moment during a market scene, where he layered additional intensity into his character.

Even in musical scenes, Akshaye kept everyone engaged. In a village celebration song, he showcased his energy by dancing spontaneously throughout the takes, exemplifying his versatility.

For Naveen, collaborating with Akshaye transcended traditional acting— it was a profound learning journey. “Seeing someone reemerge after a hiatus, and deliver performances filled with such style and depth, is truly inspiring. His comeback is richly deserved,” he concluded.
