Pakistan and Saudi Arabia have agreed to strengthen their strategic partnership during Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif’s recent visit. On Friday in Makkah, Mr. Sharif and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman renewed their pledge to deepen ties across politics, economy, and security.
The decision reflects the shared vision of both nations’ leaders and the hopes of their people. Mr. Sharif arrived Thursday, just after Hajj, with key figures like Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar, Army Chief Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, and Interior Minister Syed Mohsin Naqvi.
He thanked King Salman and the Crown Prince for their warm Eid greetings and praised Saudi Arabia’s outstanding hospitality toward pilgrims. He also commended their efforts to ensure a safe and spiritually uplifting pilgrimage experience.
Mr. Sharif expressed gratitude for Saudi Arabia’s support during recent Pakistan–India tensions and its ongoing commitment to regional peace. The two leaders discussed the humanitarian crisis in Gaza and noted the growing momentum in their bilateral cooperation. Finally, Mr. Sharif invited the Crown Prince to visit Pakistan soon—a welcome that he happily accepted.
