Palak Muchhal Achieves Guinness World Record for Charitable Work

Post by : Meena Hassan

Renowned singer Palak Muchhal has made her mark in the Guinness Book of World Records, not for her musical talent, but for her remarkable philanthropic endeavors. Through the Palak Palash Charitable Foundation, she has provided funding for 3,947 heart surgeries for underprivileged children throughout India.

Commenting on her achievement, Palak expressed, “Receiving a 'hall of fame' recognition from the Guinness Book of World Records for my charitable activities is an immense honor. I am grateful for this global acknowledgment. I’ve been singing for heart patients since I was seven years old. My 'Save Little Hearts' concerts direct all earnings towards surgeries for children battling heart ailments. To date, 3,947 children have undergone operations, and currently, there are 416 on my waiting list. I aspire to keep using my voice to aid these kids.”

When asked how she plans to celebrate this milestone, she remarked, “Celebration is woven into the fabric of life. Records serve as confirmations that I am on the right track. I attend surgeries for children sponsored by my concerts, often being present in the hospitals and sometimes even in the operating room. There, I recite the Gita, Navkar mantra, and various shlokas. It’s only when a doctor tells me, 'Badhai ho Palak, tumhara bachcha bach gaya,' that I truly feel the joy of celebration.”

In addition to her commendable feat, reports indicate that Palak’s upcoming celebration involves her brother, musician Palash Muchhal, who is slated to wed Indian women's cricket team vice-captain Smriti Mandhana on November 20, 2025, in Sangli. Palak shared, “It’s too early to discuss details, but we’re all very excited.”
