Qatar Helps Gaza’s Health System Amid Ongoing Israeli Attacks

Post by : Mariam Al-Faris

Qatar has been helping the people of Gaza, especially in healthcare, for nearly two years during continuous Israeli military attacks. This support shows real care and action for the Palestinian people in a very hard time. A senior Palestinian official in Gaza has praised Qatar’s continuous efforts as a true example of kindness and solidarity.

Gaza Official’s Appreciation for Qatar

Dr. Ismail Al Thawabtah, a senior official in Gaza, spoke about Qatar’s help during this difficult period. He expressed deep thanks to Qatar for standing with Gaza’s people. He explained that the long Israeli attacks and blockade have caused big problems in all parts of life. The healthcare system, which was weak before, has become even worse.

New Emergency First Aid Station Opens

Recently, Qatar funded a new first aid station at a special hospital in Gaza. This hospital focuses on helping people with injuries and disabilities, offering services like prosthetics and rehabilitation. The new aid station is very important because northern Gaza is facing a very serious health and humanitarian crisis. Many hospitals have been attacked, people are starving, and aid is blocked.

Quick Help for Injured People

The new medical station provides quick treatment for many injured people every day. Many of those hurt were attacked while trying to get food from aid centers. This station offers emergency medical help in a kind and respectful way. It shows Qatar’s true values and its strong commitment to helping people in need.

Medical Station Supports Emergency Care

The station has a team of trained doctors and nurses. It gives first treatment and sends more serious cases to other hospitals in Gaza. These hospitals are run by local health authorities and medical groups, using ambulances that are still available. This setup helps save many lives in a time of crisis.

Call for Global Action to Help Gaza

Dr. Al Thawabtah also praised the director of the Qatar Fund for Development, who has called on the international community to act quickly. He asked for an end to violence against civilians, the opening of border crossings, and the free flow of humanitarian aid. This call shows a strong sense of moral duty to protect the people of Gaza.

Qatar’s Role Keeps Health System Working

Qatar’s continuous help has been very important to keep parts of Gaza’s health system alive during this war. The official described the war as genocidal and said Qatar’s medical support has made a big difference. Qatar has provided medical equipment, medicines, hospital support, and care for the wounded. This help shows Qatar’s strong belief in the rights of the Palestinian people.

Important Health Projects Supported by Qatar

Qatar is managing key health projects in Gaza. One is a hospital specializing in rehabilitation and prosthetics. It offers services like artificial limbs, hearing aids, balance devices, and CT scans. This hospital is unique in Gaza and provides critical care to many patients.

More Medical Aid from Qatar

Besides this hospital, Qatar has supported mobile field hospitals, donated many ambulances, and sent advanced medical equipment. Qatar has also helped train medical workers in Gaza to improve their skills. These efforts show Qatar’s long-term plan to improve healthcare in Gaza, not just short-term aid.

Gaza’s Health System Near Collapse

Dr. Al Thawabtah warned that Gaza’s health system is very close to total collapse. Israeli attacks target hospitals and medical staff, while medical supplies and fuel are blocked. Water and electricity cuts happen often. Because of this, many hospitals and clinics have closed. Surgeries are stopped, and many essential medicines are running out.

Medical Staff Work Under Hard Conditions

Doctors, nurses, and other healthcare workers are doing their best despite very difficult conditions. They lack fuel, supplies, and enough workers. Still, they continue their life-saving work even though the situation is dangerous and exhausting.

Attacks on Healthcare Infrastructure

The Israeli military continues to attack Gaza’s healthcare system directly. Hospitals and clinics are destroyed. Health workers, including top officials and hospital leaders, are arrested or even killed. This has made it even harder to care for patients and run medical facilities.

Gaza Faces a Humanitarian Catastrophe

Reports from the United Nations and other global groups describe Gaza’s situation as a huge humanitarian disaster. Since early March, all border crossings have been closed by Israel, stopping food and medical aid from entering. This has caused severe food shortages. Community kitchens and charities have closed. Aid groups have stopped their work due to the blockade.

Qatar’s Vital Role in Gaza’s Health

In this terrible crisis, Qatar’s support has been a lifeline for Gaza’s health system. Its help has saved many lives and kept vital medical services running. From new emergency stations and hospitals to ambulances and medical supplies, Qatar’s aid is real and effective. The people of Gaza are deeply grateful for this continuous support during such hard times.
