Qatar Joins Key GCC Meeting Hosted by Bahrain Crown Prince

Qatar participated in a key diplomatic meeting held in Manama, Bahrain, where senior Gulf leaders and officials gathered for discussions aimed at strengthening regional cooperation and advancing shared strategic goals. The meeting took place on the sidelines of the 167th Ministerial Council of the Gulf Cooperation Council and the third GCC-Canada Strategic Dialogue.

Minister Sultan Al Muraikhi Represents Qatar

The State of Qatar was represented by HE Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Sultan bin Saad Al Muraikhi. His participation reflected Qatar’s continued commitment to supporting GCC initiatives and enhancing collaboration among member states on issues of common interest.

Bahrain Crown Prince Meets GCC Delegations

The meeting was hosted by HRH Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister of Bahrain. The Bahraini leader welcomed heads of delegations and senior officials participating in the ministerial meetings, emphasizing the importance of unity and cooperation among Gulf nations.

Focus on Regional Cooperation

During the discussions, participants reviewed ways to strengthen coordination across various sectors, including economic development, political cooperation and regional security. Leaders stressed the importance of maintaining strong partnerships to address emerging regional and international challenges.

GCC-Canada Dialogue Also Highlighted

The gathering also coincided with the third GCC-Canada Strategic Dialogue, highlighting efforts to expand international partnerships. Discussions focused on enhancing economic ties, promoting investment opportunities and deepening cooperation between Gulf countries and Canada.

Shared Vision for Gulf Development

Prince Salman expressed hope that the ministerial meetings would achieve their objectives and contribute to greater cooperation among GCC member states. He emphasized that collective action remains essential for fulfilling the aspirations of Gulf citizens and supporting sustainable development across the region.

Strengthening Gulf Unity and Partnerships

The meeting reaffirmed the commitment of GCC countries to continue working together on regional priorities and international engagement. Officials highlighted the importance of dialogue, mutual understanding and strategic cooperation in ensuring long-term stability and prosperity for the Gulf region.
