Qatar participated in a key diplomatic meeting held in Manama, Bahrain, where senior Gulf leaders and officials gathered for discussions aimed at strengthening regional cooperation and advancing shared strategic goals. The meeting took place on the sidelines of the 167th Ministerial Council of the Gulf Cooperation Council and the third GCC-Canada Strategic Dialogue.
Minister Sultan Al Muraikhi Represents Qatar
The State of Qatar was represented by HE Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Sultan bin Saad Al Muraikhi. His participation reflected Qatar’s continued commitment to supporting GCC initiatives and enhancing collaboration among member states on issues of common interest.
Bahrain Crown Prince Meets GCC Delegations
The meeting was hosted by HRH Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister of Bahrain. The Bahraini leader welcomed heads of delegations and senior officials participating in the ministerial meetings, emphasizing the importance of unity and cooperation among Gulf nations.
Focus on Regional Cooperation
During the discussions, participants reviewed ways to strengthen coordination across various sectors, including economic development, political cooperation and regional security. Prince Salman expressed hope that the ministerial meetings would achieve their objectives and contribute to greater cooperation among GCC member states. The meeting reaffirmed the commitment of GCC countries to continue working together on regional priorities and international engagement.
