Qatar, UK and France Ministers Visit Beirut Shelters to Aid Displaced

A joint ministerial delegation from Qatar, the United Kingdom and France visited several collective shelters in Beirut, Lebanon, on Thursday to assess humanitarian conditions and understand the urgent needs of displaced communities.

The delegation included Qatar's Minister of State for International Cooperation, Dr Mariam bint Ali bin Nasser Al Misnad, the United Kingdom's Minister of State for International Development and Africa, Baroness Chapman of Darlington, and France's Minister Delegate for Francophonie, International Partnerships and French Nationals Abroad, Eleonore Caroit.

During the visit, the ministers received detailed briefings on the humanitarian situation and the urgent medical and relief needs of people currently living in the shelters.

Speaking during the visit, Dr Al Misnad reaffirmed Qatar's continued commitment to supporting the people of Lebanon. She said Qatar remains dedicated to providing urgent humanitarian assistance while ensuring the dignity of displaced individuals and helping reduce their suffering.

The visit is part of ongoing international efforts to evaluate conditions on the ground and coordinate humanitarian support for people affected by displacement and continuing challenges across Lebanon.

The ministers reviewed the situation firsthand and discussed ways to strengthen assistance for communities in need, highlighting the importance of international cooperation in addressing the humanitarian crisis.
