UAE Unveils Rabdaan Electronic Judging System for Arabian Horse Competitions

Post by : Mariam Al-Faris

The Emirates Arabian Horse Society (EAHS) has introduced the “Rabdaan Electronic Judging System”, revolutionising Arabian horse championships in the UAE. This cutting-edge system exemplifies the UAE’s commitment to advancing equestrian sports through technology while elevating the global status of Arabian horse events.

Rabdaan is specifically designed to streamline and improve all facets of championship organisation. It allows for complete electronic registration of horses, removing the complications of manual entries. Horse owners can proficiently verify their horses’ eligibility, receive automatic payment confirmations, and monitor their horses’ competition involvement. Participants can easily download championship catalogues and access official documents with minimal hassle.

For judges, the Rabdaan system provides an efficient mechanism for score recording and results management. Utilizing iPads during competitions, judges can display results in real-time on screens and on the official website. The system promises rapid, precise, and transparent scoring. Special situations, including concerns about lameness in horses, are resolved through a secure electronic voting system, ensuring impartiality and trustworthiness in evaluations, consistent with the highest international standards.

Rabdaan also equips the Disciplinary Committee (DC) with sophisticated tools for updating horse records, attaching relevant documents, and documenting observations with images. Automatic generation of certified reports enhances the accuracy and dependability of championship records. This modernised approach ensures fairness while minimising potential mistakes linked to manual systems.

EAHS officials pointed out that Rabdaan fortifies the UAE’s dedication to upholding its rich heritage in Arabian horse breeding while embracing technology. By digitalising championship processes, the nation shows its commitment to fostering efficiency and transparency. The system also embodies the UAE’s ambitious vision to strengthen its influence in the global equestrian landscape.

The introduction of Rabdaan signifies a key advancement in merging traditional equestrian customs with modern digital solutions. The system is anticipated to inspire other equestrian organisations globally to adopt similar technologies for improved fairness and precise management in competitions.

Horse owners, breeders, and judges have praised Rabdaan's user-friendly design, speed, and ability to ensure total transparency. With its provision of real-time results, immediate verification, and comprehensive reporting, the system is set to elevate the standards of Arabian horse championships.

Beyond enhancing event management, Rabdaan also plays a crucial role in the UAE’s strategy to gain international acclaim for its Arabian horses. The system guarantees that each championship is conducted with utmost professionalism, without bias or human error, highlighting the nation's ongoing pledge to excellence in equestrian sports.

Through this groundbreaking initiative, the UAE continues to set new standards within the global equestrian community. Rabdaan strengthens the link between heritage and technological innovation, assuring that Arabian horse championships maintain their fairness, transparency, and prestige for participants from around the world.
