The Emirates Arabian Horse Society (EAHS) has introduced the “Rabdaan Electronic Judging System”, revolutionising Arabian horse championships in the UAE. This cutting-edge system exemplifies the UAE’s commitment to advancing equestrian sports through technology while elevating the global status of Arabian horse events.

Rabdaan is specifically designed to streamline and improve all facets of championship organisation. It allows for complete electronic registration of horses, removing the complications of manual entries. Horse owners can proficiently verify their horses’ eligibility, receive automatic payment confirmations, and monitor their horses’ competition involvement. Participants can easily download championship catalogues and access official documents with minimal hassle.

For judges, the Rabdaan system provides an efficient mechanism for score recording and results management. Utilizing iPads during competitions, judges can display results in real-time on screens and on the official website. The system promises rapid, precise, and transparent scoring. Special situations, including concerns about lameness in horses, are resolved through a secure electronic voting system, ensuring impartiality and trustworthiness in evaluations, consistent with the highest international standards.

Rabdaan also equips the Disciplinary Committee (DC) with sophisticated tools for updating horse records, attaching relevant documents, and documenting observations with images. Automatic generation of certified reports enhances the accuracy and dependability of championship records. This modernised approach ensures fairness while minimising potential mistakes linked to manual systems.

EAHS officials pointed out that Rabdaan fortifies the UAE’s dedication to upholding its rich heritage in Arabian horse breeding while embracing technology.
