The highly anticipated film Varanasi by SS Rajamouli was officially announced at a grand event in Hyderabad’s Ramoji Film City, featuring appearances by Rajamouli, Mahesh Babu, Priyanka Chopra, and Prithviraj Sukumaran. Following the event, the film's title poster drew significant attention, notably for the absence of the lead actors' names.

The reveal video, lasting three minutes, concludes with the statement “SS Rajamouli’s Varanasi,” attributing credits to writer V. Vijayendra Prasad, music director MM Keeravani, and key crew members.
