Fans have been eagerly anticipating the trailer for Aditya Dhar’s upcoming film Dhurandhar since its first look was unveiled in July. In a delightful surprise before the trailer's launch, the filmmakers showcased a new poster featuring Arjun Rampal in a striking and intense avatar, causing a stir on social media.
This past Saturday, Ranveer Singh took to Instagram to reveal Arjun Rampal’s fierce visage. In the poster, Arjun opts for a crew-cut hairstyle complemented by a thick beard, an intense gaze, sunglasses, and a leather jacket, while smoking a cigar. Ranveer captioned the post with, “The Angel of Death. Countdown begins – 4 Days To Go! #DhurandharTrailer drops on 12th November at 12:12 PM.”
The comments section quickly filled with accolades for Arjun Rampal’s “deadly” and electrifying appearance. Fans drew comparisons to iconic villain portrayals, with one quipping, “When Arjun Rampal plays the villain, it takes two SRKs to bring him down. How many Ranveer Singhs will it take this time?” Others amusingly referred to his look as the “Bobby Deol-ification of Arjun!”
Dhurandhar, helmed by Aditya Dhar and brought forth by Jio Studios, is produced by Jyoti Deshpande and Lokesh Dhar under B62 Studios. Ranveer Singh leads the cast, alongside notable actors Sanjay Dutt, R. Madhavan, Akshaye Khanna, and Arjun Rampal.
Speculation suggests that the film draws inspiration from the life of India's famed super spy and National Security Advisor, Ajit Doval, recognized for his involvement in surgical strikes. However, the filmmakers have remained tight-lipped about these rumors, offering only hints that the narrative borrows from real events.
The highly awaited trailer is set to drop on 12th November at 12:12 PM, with the movie slated for release in theaters on 5th December.
