Ravie Dubey to Portray Laxman in Ranbir Kapoor's Ramayana

Post by : Meena Hassan

Actor and producer Ravie Dubey has voiced his enthusiasm about joining the eagerly awaited film Ramayana, where Ranbir Kapoor stars as Lord Rama. During an interview at the International Film Festival of India (IFFI), he revealed that being part of this project feels like a remarkable opportunity and a true blessing.

“It feels like a divine gift to be part of this film. I view it as my fortune to help tell the story of Ram Katha,” Ravie expressed. “This indeed is a significant blessing, and I am extraordinarily happy and thankful for this chance.”

In the film, Ravie will take on the iconic role of Laxman. Back in July, he excitedly shared a sneak peek of his role on social media, stating, “This is the greatest honor of my life—to be part of a narrative that has influenced generations. Welcome to Namit Malhotra's Ramayana, the eternal tale of Rama vs Ravana. I’m grateful to share this journey with you all. Let’s celebrate this moment and embrace the world of Ramayana together. Our Reality. Our Heritage.”

The film features a remarkable ensemble cast, with Ranbir Kapoor as Rama and Yash playing Ravana. Other prominent actors include Sai Pallavi, Sunny Deol, Kajal Aggarwal, Rakul Preet Singh, Arun Govil, and Kunal Kapoor, among others. Anticipation is high as audiences look forward to this contemporary retelling of the age-old epic.

Beyond acting, Ravie and his wife Sargun Mehta have embarked on a new venture in production. After more than ten years in television, they've launched Dreamiyata Entertainment, focusing on diverse content across different genres.

Their current projects encompass series like Dil Ko Rafu Kar Le, Hale Dil, Tu Aashiqui Hai, and Lovely Lulla, all available on their platform. With season finales approaching, they have a promising new lineup heading for release, providing audiences with plenty to enjoy.

Ravie’s evolution from television actor to producer, and now to a key role in a major Bollywood epic, reflects his versatility and commitment to storytelling. Fans of both Ramayana and Bollywood are eagerly awaiting this legendary story's stunning presentation with such a talented cast.
