Displaying his signature prowess, Aaron Rodgers piloted the Pittsburgh Steelers to a decisive 28-15 victory against the Miami Dolphins. The veteran quarterback, at 42, completed 23 of his 27 attempts, tossing two touchdowns and setting a record as the oldest QB to achieve over 85% completions in an NFL game.
With this win, Pittsburgh maintains its lead in the AFC North, now a game ahead of Baltimore with three weeks remaining in the regular season. Rodgers found Marquez Valdes-Scantling and DK Metcalf for crucial touchdowns, while running back Kenneth Gainwell amassed 126 total yards, energizing the Steelers' offensive effort.
Miami, which had enjoyed a four-game winning streak, saw its postseason aspirations evaporate. Tua Tagovailoa connected for two late touchdowns but also threw his 15th interception of the year as the Dolphins faltered in the chilly conditions, managing almost no points in the third quarter.
Despite missing star linebacker T.J. Watt due to injury, Pittsburgh's defense rose to the occasion, with Cam Heyward securing a sack and lending motivation. Rookie Asante Samuel Jr. made a pivotal interception, showcasing the Steelers' depth and resilience.
With three matches left, Pittsburgh is well-positioned to cement its playoff berth, while Miami must now turn its gaze towards building for the next season.
