Salman Khan to Build Rs 10,000 Crore Township in Telangana

Post by : Mariam Al-Faris

Bollywood star Salman Khan has announced a major investment in Telangana through his company, Salman Khan Ventures. The firm plans to develop a Rs 10,000 crore township along with a modern film studio in the state. The announcement came during the Telangana Rising Global Summit, which aims to attract large investments and support the state’s plan to become a 3 trillion dollar economy.

The heart of this project is a state-of-the-art film studio for movies, OTT content, and large-scale productions. It will provide post-production services, VFX support, and talent development programs. This investment marks the first time a Bollywood celebrity has set up such a studio in Telangana, strengthening the state as a major hub for the media and entertainment industry.

The proposed township will spread across nearly 500 acres and will be a self-contained, modern destination. It will feature premium residences, commercial zones, luxury hotels, shopping areas, and entertainment spaces. Recreational facilities like a golf course, race track, nature trails, and shooting ranges are also part of the plan. The project is expected to boost tourism and create thousands of jobs for the local population.

Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy welcomed the investment, calling it a milestone for the creative sector. The government has assured full support with approvals, land arrangements, and connectivity. The summit also witnessed major MoUs worth Rs 2.43 lakh crore, including investments from Reliance Vantara, Trump Media, Brookfield Axis Ventures, and GMR Group. These developments highlight Telangana’s growing reputation as a stable and strong investment destination.
