Under the supervision of the Ministry of Energy, four Saudi companies – TAQA, ADES Holding, Arabian Drilling, and the Arabian Geophysical and Surveying Company (ARGAS) – signed agreements today with the Syrian Petroleum Company to provide services, technical support, and develop oil and gas fields in Syria. These agreements follow previous memoranda of understanding signed on 28 August 2025 and recent technical workshops and site visits to gas facilities.
The agreements include several key projects. ADES Holding signed a deal to develop and operate five gas fields – Abu Rabah, Qamqam, North Al-Faydh, Al-Tiyas, and Zumlat al-Mahar – with plans to increase production in these areas and potential future expansions. TAQA signed a master service agreement to provide advanced energy solutions for building and maintaining oil and gas wells, using modern equipment and technologies to improve efficiency and output.
ARGAS signed a long-term master service agreement to conduct 2D and 3D seismic surveys and offer technical support for exploration and drilling activities. This cooperation aims to enhance petroleum exploration and ensure flexible, rapid-response operations in Syria’s energy sector. Arabian Drilling also signed an agreement to deliver drilling and workover services, supplying rigs, operational support, and workforce training for oil and gas wells.
The agreements strengthen ongoing cooperation between Saudi Arabia and Syria in the energy sector and reflect a shared commitment to developing petroleum resources, increasing production, and adopting modern technologies. These partnerships aim to support sustainable growth in Syria’s oil and gas industry.
The deals highlight the strategic role of Saudi companies in providing technical expertise, operational support, and innovative solutions to advance Syria’s oil and gas infrastructure, ensuring both countries benefit from enhanced production, efficiency, and collaboration in the energy field.
