The King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) has entered into a collaborative agreement to construct and revitalize 13 educational institutions in Yemen's Lahj and Al-Dhale regions. This agreement was solidified through a virtual meeting with a relevant civil society organization.
The deal was officiated by Eng. Ahmed Al-Baiz, Assistant Supervisor General for Operations and Programs at KSrelief.
This initiative will see the establishment of new educational infrastructure primarily focused on both primary and secondary education in rural and underserved locations. A key goal of this project is to enhance educational accessibility in areas where facilities are lacking or have been damaged.
As part of this initiative, over 45 fully equipped classrooms are slated for construction. These new facilities aim to alleviate overcrowding and provide necessary support to students in regions affected by educational disruption.
The initiative is projected to benefit approximately 59,851 individuals, including boys and girls facing educational hurdles due to inadequate facilities.
This undertaking reflects Saudi Arabia’s dedication to humanitarian aid via KSrelief, particularly in enhancing educational opportunities in Yemen, and to date, the program has facilitated the development and support of more than 1,200 educational facilities across the nation.
