KSrelief Launches Winter Clothing Aid for Vulnerable Syrians

KSrelief Launches Winter Clothing Aid for Vulnerable Syrians

Post by : Mariam Al-Faris

The King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) has officially launched a new Winter Clothing Distribution Project called Kanaf to support vulnerable Syrians during the cold season. The agreement for this project was signed through videoconference with a civil society organization, marking another step in Saudi Arabia’s continuous humanitarian efforts.

This winter initiative will help people living in several Syrian governorates, including Daraa, Rif Dimashq, Idlib, Aleppo, and Latakia. These regions have a large number of internally displaced families who face extreme difficulties when winter temperatures drop. To ease their struggle, the project will distribute 21,051 vouchers that allow beneficiaries to buy warm clothing from approved stores. These vouchers aim to give families the flexibility to choose the items they need most, such as jackets, sweaters, and children’s winterwear.

The Kanaf project is designed to support those who are most affected by economic challenges and severe climate conditions. Many Syrian families cannot afford essential winter supplies, and the situation becomes even harder in camps where heating and proper shelter are often limited. Through this program, KSrelief hopes to reduce the impact of the harsh winter and improve living conditions for vulnerable people.

This initiative reflects the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s long-standing commitment to humanitarian assistance around the world. By delivering timely aid and practical solutions, KSrelief continues to stand by Syrian families in need, offering support that helps them face difficult circumstances with dignity.
