Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) played an exciting 3-3 draw against Strasbourg at the Parc des Princes on Friday. Despite the draw, a late goal from midfielder Senny Mayulu ensured PSG stayed at the top of Ligue 1 with 17 points. Strasbourg are just behind them with 16 points, while Olympique de Marseille and Olympique Lyonnais have 15 points each but still have a game in hand.
PSG started strong, scoring in the sixth minute. Young striker Bradley Barcola finished well from close range after a perfect pass, giving the home fans an early boost. Strasbourg, however, fought back. Joaquin Panichelli scored with a powerful header in the 26th minute to make it 1-1. Just before halftime, Diego Moreira put Strasbourg ahead 2-1, leaving PSG behind at the break.
In the second half, Strasbourg scored again in the 49th minute, with Panichelli completing his brace. PSG struggled to take control, but their determination did not fade. In the 58th minute, Goncalo Ramos scored a penalty after Desire Doue was fouled by Strasbourg’s goalkeeper Mike Penders. This made it 2-3 and gave PSG hope.
PSG kept attacking, and their persistence paid off in the 79th minute. Senny Mayulu scored with a header after a close-range rebound, leveling the match at 3-3. This last-minute goal earned PSG a valuable point and showed their fighting spirit under pressure. Strasbourg had looked likely to win, but PSG’s late pressure denied them a victory.
The draw keeps PSG at the top of the Ligue 1 table with 17 points. Strasbourg stay close behind with 16 points. Marseille and Lyon are also in the mix with 15 points, keeping the title race exciting. PSG will aim to convert their attacking play into consistent wins as the season continues. Strasbourg’s strong performance shows they can challenge the top teams.
