Shefali Shah Expresses Gratitude as Delhi Crime 3 Resonates with Viewers

Post by : Meena Hassan

In the much-anticipated Delhi Crime Season 3, Shefali Shah reprises her role as the steadfast DCP Vartika Chaturvedi, now confronting Huma Qureshi’s formidable Badi Didi. The latest installment has garnered favorable reviews, prompting Shah to express her heartfelt appreciation for the audience's support.

Portraying the lead in this acclaimed series, Shefali's performance is now streaming on Netflix.

In an emotional post on Instagram, Shah revealed, “Feeling terrified is an understatement before the release of Delhi Crime 3. This time, I explored a different dimension of Vartika. While she faced pain and anger intensely, her focus was on finding justice for the girls. There was no bravado, just unwavering determination to protect and seek justice.”

She further remarked, “I was uncertain if this portrayal, devoid of bravado, would resonate. However, the flood of positive reviews made me tearful with joy and relief. Your love demonstrated that you didn’t just witness her journey—but shared it alongside me.”

Shefali concluded her message by stating, “I've come to recognize two essential truths: 1. We often underestimate the intelligence and sensitivity of our audience. 2. I am incredibly fortunate to receive such overwhelming love. I’m truly blessed and can’t thank you enough!”

Critics have highlighted Shah’s exceptional performance, stating, “Shefali Shah delivers an outstanding portrayal once more. Few can immerse themselves in a character as effortlessly as she does, seamlessly bridging the gap between reality and fiction. Despite certain flaws in character development, she embodies vulnerability beautifully.”

Delhi Crime 3 is a production of Golden Karavan and SK Global Entertainment, directed by Tanuj Chopra, featuring an ensemble cast that includes Sayani Gupta, Mita Vashisht, Anshumaan Pushkar, and Kelly Dorji. The series premiered on Netflix on November 13.
