Siddhanth Kapoor Ordered to Appear Before Mumbai Police in Drug Investigation

Post by : Meena Hassan

Siddhanth Kapoor, the brother of noted Bollywood actress Shraddha Kapoor, has received a summons from Mumbai Police concerning a significant ₹252 crore drug seizure case. He is expected to present himself on November 25 to provide his statement.

Previously, Orhan Awatramani, known as Orry, faced a similar summons but did not attend, seeking an extension. Both Siddhanth and Orry were flagged by the Anti-Narcotics Cell (ANC) of Ghatkopar following the interrogation of Mohammed Salim Mohammed Suhail Shaikh, the main suspect in the case.

To date, neither Siddhanth nor Shraddha Kapoor has publicly addressed these allegations. It’s noteworthy that Siddhanth was previously apprehended in Bengaluru in 2022 for drug use.

Sources from the police department disclosed that during his questioning, Shaikh confessed to holding extravagant parties in both Dubai and Mumbai, allegedly frequented by numerous prominent figures, including Nora Fatehi, Siddhanth Kapoor, Shraddha Kapoor, filmmakers Abbas–Mustan, rapper Loka, Orry, and NCP leader Zeeshan Siddique.

Orry has requested an extension until November 25, dispatching his lawyer to respond to the summons. He was recently spotted at Travis Scott's concert in Mumbai on November 19.

This case traces back to March 2024, when law enforcement seized 126.14 kg of mephedrone (MD) worth approximately ₹252 crore from a production site located on a farm in Sangli district. Shaikh, who had been deported from Dubai, confessed to orchestrating rave parties both domestically and internationally for celebrities.
