The Annual Performance Report from Abu Dhabi Customs for 2025 showcases remarkable achievements in trade, service enhancement, and operational effectiveness within the emirate.
As indicated in the report, the organization reached an impressive 93 percent operational performance overall along with a perfect score of 100 percent in strategic performance during 2025. These outcomes were evaluated using 31 strategic indicators, reflecting adept planning and execution aligned with Abu Dhabi’s economic growth initiatives.
The authority successfully completed all strategic indicators associated with the economic sector of the Abu Dhabi Plan, thereby bolstering its role in advancing the emirate’s economic ambitions.
A standout feature of the report is the notable surge in non-oil foreign trade, which amounted to AED415.4 billion in 2025, a striking 36 percent increase from the previous year. Additionally, customs declarations increased by 17 percent, further highlighting the sustained trade activity and reinforcing Abu Dhabi’s position as a significant global business and trade hub.
The report also indicated positive trends in customer satisfaction and workplace conditions. Employee engagement scored at 91 percent, while service quality was recorded at an impressive 94 percent. Satisfaction levels among traders and clearing agents also reached 94 percent, a testament to the authority's commitment to simplify customs processes and enhance the customer experience.
Abu Dhabi Customs attributes these positive achievements to its emphasis on innovation, cutting-edge technology, and proactive strategic planning. The authority noted that its smart customs ecosystem continues to foster business sustainability and boost the trade sector's resilience.
Furthermore, Abu Dhabi Customs has pledged to enhance customs services and expand collaborations with both public and private sectors to elevate the emirate's competitiveness in international customs and logistics.
