Iconic actor Dharmendra has left a Mumbai hospital where he was treated earlier this week. His son, Sunny Deol, released a statement on Wednesday confirming the news and requesting family privacy.
According to Sunny, his father's ongoing treatment will take place at home, assuring fans that the celebrated star is on the mend.
“Mr. Dharmendra has been discharged from the hospital and will continue his recovery at home. We respectfully ask the media and the public to avoid speculation and honor his and the family’s privacy during this period,” said the statement from Sunny Deol’s team.
Sunny expressed gratitude to fans who have been supportive and praying for Dharmendra's well-being.
“We are grateful for everyone’s love, prayers, and good wishes for his continued recovery, health, and longevity. Please respect his space as he treasures you all,” the note concluded.
Hospital Confirms Dharmendra’s Discharge
A doctor involved in Dharmendra's care confirmed the discharge took place at approximately 7:30 a.m. on Wednesday.
“Dharmendra ji was discharged from the hospital around 7:30 a.m. and will receive care at home as per the family's wishes,” stated the doctor.
Clarifications on Rumors
Following the spread of false rumors regarding Dharmendra's passing on Tuesday, his wife, Hema Malini, and daughter, Esha Deol, promptly used social media to clarify that Dharmendra was doing well.
The Deol family remained by his side during his hospital stay. Sunny, Bobby Deol, along with Esha, Abhay Deol, and Hema Malini, were consistently seen visiting him.
Bollywood Celebrities Support Dharmendra
Numerous Bollywood actors, including Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan, and Aamir Khan, along with Gauri Spratt, visited during his hospitalization, showcasing their concern and support for the beloved star.
Sunny Deol’s announcement follows multiple family visits that had sparked renewed speculation about Dharmendra’s health. The Deol family is appealing to the media and public to refrain from baseless reports and respect their need for privacy as he recuperates at home.
