The NFL has revealed that Coco Jones, Charlie Puth, and Brandi Carlile will take the stage for the pregame festivities of Super Bowl LX. Puth will sing the national anthem, while Jones performs "Lift Every Voice and Sing," and Carlile presents “America the Beautiful.”
Desiree Perez, CEO of Roc Nation, expressed, “Charlie, Brandi, and Coco are remarkable talents, and we are thrilled to have them – along with our talented deaf artists – represent on the global stage of Super Bowl LX. This encapsulates the finest of live culture and performance as we herald game day.”
Jon Barker, NFL's senior vice president of global event production, noted, "These artists contribute a unique voice to the occasion, perfectly setting the atmosphere for a day that promises to enthrall fans globally."
Expressing his excitement, Charlie Puth tweeted, “I can’t believe I’m saying this… I will be performing the National Anthem at Super Bowl LX.”
Deaf artists will enhance the performances by signing in American Sign Language: Fred Beam will sign the national anthem and “Lift Every Voice and Sing,” while Julian Ortiz will sign “America the Beautiful.”
The pregame event will be accessible across various platforms, aiming to connect with audiences worldwide.
Amid discussions, some fans speculated about Charlie Puth potentially replacing Bad Bunny as the halftime performer, stemming from prior controversies surrounding the Puerto Rican artist. Nevertheless, Bad Bunny is confirmed to headline the Super Bowl LX halftime show.
Super Bowl LX is scheduled for February 8 at Levi's Stadium in Santa Clara, California.
