The recent episode of Bigg Boss 19 stirred significant conversation among viewers and participants alike. This week's challenge unveiled the contestants' social media growth, sparking controversy.
During the ration task, housemates had the choice to either add 10% more provisions to their existing 30% or check their Instagram follower counts. Contestants Ashnoor Kaur, Malti Chahar, and Pranit More opted to boost their rations, while Farrhana Bhatt, Amaal Mallik, Tanya Mittal, and Kunickaa Sadanand chose to review their social media metrics.
Farrhana was thrilled as her follower count surged from 40,000 to 1 million, while Amaal celebrated his ascension to 5.2 million followers. In contrast, Tanya Mittal expressed discontent despite an increase from 2.5 million to 3.7 million followers, confiding to Farrhana and Kunickaa her disappointment for not reaching her 5 million target.
This reaction drew criticism from fans online, many deeming her attitude as “ungrateful” given her substantial follower growth. Comments included:
“A spiritual person should appreciate both gain and loss.”
“I’m going to unfollow her now.”
“Looks like her follower growth has slowed down, making her upset.”
The drama didn’t end there, as tensions rose during the captaincy task. Bigg Boss presented Gaurav with a choice: he could assume the captain role, risking the safety of his peers, or allow Shehbaz to take charge to ensure everyone’s safety and complete rations. Gaurav opted for the captaincy, much to the discontent of Amaal and Shehbaz, who criticized Bigg Boss for being “unjust.”
Upcoming promos hint at further conflicts within the house, with Amaal and Farrhana clashing with Gaurav, and Shehbaz extending an apology to Bigg Boss.
