Tanya Mittal's Previous Remarks Spark Discussion Following Ektaa Kapoor's TV Role Proposal

Post by : Meena Hassan

Ektaa Kapoor, well-known for casting contestants from Bigg Boss in her television productions, has extended offers to Tanya Mittal and music composer Amaal Mallik during a recent visit to the Bigg Boss 19 house. However, conversations from the past have resurfaced, revealing Tanya expressing her preference for collaborating with emerging talent over established stars.

In a podcast from February, Tanya mentioned having multiple offers for films and music videos but emphasized her desire to support others rather than seek personal recognition. She stated that pursuing fame would lead to self-absorption.

When questioned about her choice of directors, Tanya elaborated, “People often gravitate toward big names like Karan Johar or Sanjay Leela Bhansali. I am more inclined to work with lesser-known directors who possess talent but lack well-known actresses. I would even volunteer my services to assist them.” She further stated, “My ambition is not tied to fame or fortune; it’s about fostering small talents.”

Responses on Reddit have varied, with some users humorously questioning whether Tanya would turn down Kapoor’s offer for the sake of integrity. Others pointed out a contradiction, noting her discontent over having only 3.7 million followers on Instagram.

In the latest Weekend Ka Vaar episode, Ektaa Kapoor confirmed her interest in casting both Amaal Mallik and Tanya Mittal. Expressing her delight, Tanya referred to the offer as a “dream come true.” Salman Khan jokingly suggested she play a poor girl, prompting Tanya to celebrate and dance with joy.

This week’s eviction saw Kunickaa Sadanand leaving the show. With just two weeks remaining, contestants including Malti Chahar, Shehbaz Badesha, Amaal Mallik, Gaurav Khanna, Pranit More, Tanya Mittal, and Farrhana Bhatt are intensively competing for the crown.
