In an era where the world is increasingly overshadowed by conflict, stress, and negativity, there remain individuals who dedicate their lives to bringing hope and light into the lives of others. Among these rare souls is Tasneem, whose life journey is defined by kindness, empathy, and an unwavering belief in the power of healing through compassion. For her, spreading positivity is not merely an act of goodwill—it is a purposeful mission that she has embraced wholeheartedly.
Reflecting on her guiding philosophy, Tasneem explains: “There is so much negativity around the world already, and being able to make someone heal and smile again with positivity is what the world needs more now – and I do exactly the same.” These words are not just a statement, but a reflection of her lived reality—a life devoted to restoring hope where it is lost and planting seeds of optimism in hearts that have forgotten how to smile.
Tasneem’s story begins in the humblest of settings. She describes her childhood as ordinary and simple, yet it was during these early years that the foundation of her character was built. From a young age, she possessed an innate sense of empathy—a natural inclination to help, heal, and support others, even with the little she had. Unlike many children whose worlds revolve around play and curiosity, Tasneem’s heart was drawn toward the quiet act of giving.
One childhood experience in particular became the turning point that defined her life’s purpose. She vividly remembers encountering a mother sitting by the roadside with her two small children, visibly distressed and weakened by hunger. Tasneem, just a young girl at the time, had saved 20 dirhams—her tiny treasure. Without hesitation, she walked to a nearby restaurant, purchased food, and handed it to the struggling family. The scene that followed was unforgettable: the mother immediately opened the parcel, fed her crying children, and then ate herself, offering heartfelt prayers and blessings in return.
That moment, though small in worldly terms, left an extraordinary mark on Tasneem’s young heart. She recalls feeling an indescribable joy and relief as she watched the family’s pain transform into smiles. It was then she realized that the truest wealth lies not in what we keep, but in what we give. This single act of kindness became a guiding light for her journey ahead, convincing her that spreading compassion was not only meaningful—it was her life’s true purpose.
While Tasneem’s personal life has always been guided by compassion, her professional journey reflects a parallel story of dedication and expertise. By profession, she established herself as a Human Resources Recruiter and Manager, taking on the demanding responsibility of overseeing end-to-end HR functions. From identifying the right candidates to guiding them through opportunities, from supporting companies in meeting their workforce needs to ensuring smooth recruitment processes, Tasneem built a reputation for diligence and integrity in the corporate space.
Her portfolio also includes experience in freelance Emiratisation recruitment, where she worked on projects designed to connect UAE nationals with meaningful employment opportunities. In this role, she was entrusted with the task of searching, shortlisting, and presenting suitable candidates as per the requirements of various companies. This demonstrated not only her adaptability but also her ability to meet the evolving demands of the region’s workforce strategies.
Yet, Tasneem emphasizes that while her HR career is rooted in professional expertise, it represents only one dimension of her identity. Beyond the structured world of recruitment and management lies her deeper calling—her passion for community service and women’s counseling. It is this dual identity, balancing the precision of HR with the compassion of counseling, that truly sets her apart.
Tasneem’s path into counseling was not a planned career move, but rather a calling that unfolded naturally. In 2017, during her long daily commute between Sharjah and Dubai, she began to encounter women from all walks of life. The crowded buses and extended travel hours became a space where stories of pain, struggle, and resilience were quietly shared. Each conversation revealed a hidden world of challenges that many women carried silently.
One encounter, in particular, became a defining moment. A woman sitting beside Tasneem appeared visibly distressed, her face pale with sorrow. With gentle persistence, Tasneem encouraged her to share what was troubling her. Eventually, the woman broke down, pouring out her grief and struggles. Tasneem did not claim to have solutions—she simply listened with compassion, offered comfort, and reminded her to stay strong. By the end of the journey, the woman felt lighter, even smiling again. She kissed Tasneem’s hand and said, “You are a healer—someone who brings back lost smiles.” Those words became the seed that shaped Tasneem’s second identity.
From that day forward, Tasneem embraced counseling as a personal mission. What began as chance conversations on a bus grew into a larger community of women reaching out to her—some in person, others through social platforms—seeking someone who would simply listen without judgment.
Her role became even more vital during the dark and isolating days of the COVID-19 pandemic. At a time when many felt abandoned in loneliness, grief, and fear, Tasneem stood by them through heartfelt conversations and words of encouragement. She reminded them that they were not alone, and that even in despair, healing and hope were possible.
Today, this journey continues to define her. She is not a professional counselor by degree, but rather a counselor by empathy, driven by the belief that listening with kindness can transform lives.
In November 2024, Tasneem reached a milestone in her journey of healing and storytelling with the publication of her debut book, Amelia, released by Austin Macauley Publishers (UAE). More than just a novel, Amelia is a tapestry of fiction interwoven with threads of reality—shaped by Tasneem’s observations, her encounters with people from different walks of life, and her reflections on the struggles and triumphs of the human spirit.
The book carries profound, reality-based messages, presented through relatable narratives that aim to inspire resilience, hope, and compassion. Tasneem describes it as a work that blends imagination with the rawness of real experiences, offering lessons that speak directly to the heart.
Early readers have embraced Amelia warmly, describing it as inspiring, hopeful, and filled with impactful lessons that linger long after the final page. Many have shared how the story made them reflect on their own lives and find renewed motivation. For Tasneem, this response is both humbling and affirming. She believes that Amelia can serve as a source of healing and light for anyone searching for meaning amid life’s challenges.
Encouraged by its success, Tasneem now feels a renewed sense of purpose as a writer. She hopes to continue crafting reality-inspired books that carry transformative messages—stories that do not merely entertain, but also uplift, guide, and contribute positively to the world we live in.
Tasneem’s journey of service does not end with counseling or writing; it expands into a visionary mission that could transform countless lives. She dreams of creating safe homes for women—spaces designed to provide dignity, security, and hope for those most vulnerable.
These homes, as she envisions them, would serve as sanctuaries where single mothers, working women, and job-seeking expatriates can find shelter, free accommodation, nourishing food, and basic support until they secure stable and genuine employment.
Her vision goes far beyond charity. Tasneem sees it as a movement of empowerment, ensuring that women are not left exposed to exploitation, harassment, or unsafe living conditions. In her eyes, a safe roof and a compassionate environment are the first steps toward rebuilding lives and restoring confidence.
She emphasizes that the Middle East, particularly the UAE, is a hub of opportunity, attracting women from different parts of the world in search of a better future. Yet many face hardship, loneliness, or exploitation along the way. By establishing these safe homes, Tasneem wants to ensure that women are given the chance to chase their dreams fearlessly and with dignity, free from the shadows of abuse or vulnerability.
For her, this project is not just a plan—it is a calling. It embodies her belief that true empowerment begins with safety, and that when women are protected, they can rise, rebuild, and inspire generations to come.
In a world where service is often tied to recognition or reward, Tasneem stands apart for her selfless approach. She never seeks money, applause, or public acknowledgment for the work she does. Instead, her motivation is deeply personal: to experience what she calls “peace of heart”—a profound sense of fulfillment that comes from seeing another person smile again after a period of pain.
For Tasneem, the women she supports are not victims but “heroes.” She believes each one carries her own silent battles, unseen by the world, and it takes immense courage to keep moving forward despite them. In her eyes, they deserve to be celebrated, encouraged, and reminded of their own inner strength.
Her method of helping is simple yet powerful: listening first, comforting next, and then guiding toward solutions. Where needed, she encourages women to seek professional or medical support, but she knows that the first step—having someone who truly listens without judgment—can itself be a powerful form of healing.
Faith also plays a central role in shaping her journey. Tasneem believes that pure intentions and sincerity elevate even the smallest of actions. As she often says, “Everything should be done with faith and intention. If the work is done sincerely, it will always reach great heights.” This belief is not just spiritual guidance for her—it is the compass by which she lives and serves.
As Tasneem reflects on her journey so far, she remains grounded in her dual path of professional growth and personal mission. She is open to new opportunities in Human Resources or Administration, where her skills and experience can add value to organizations that align with her values. With a proven background in HR recruitment and management, she is confident that she can contribute effectively to any workplace that seeks both professionalism and integrity.
Yet, her career aspirations never overshadow her higher calling. Alongside her professional pursuits, Tasneem continues her role as a motivational counselor, community worker, and advocate for women’s empowerment. For her, true success is not measured by promotions or positions, but by the number of lives touched and the smiles restored. Her story, therefore, is not one of career achievement alone, but of changing lives through positivity, compassion, and empathy.
When the conversation turns to legacy, Tasneem’s answer reflects the humility that defines her entire journey. She does not aspire to be remembered for professional titles, accolades, or material achievements. Instead, she hopes her name will be tied to something far more meaningful—the kindness and compassion she shared with others.
For Tasneem, true legacy lies in the intangible footprints left on people’s hearts. She wishes to be remembered as the woman who spread smiles in moments of sorrow, who extended empathy when silence felt heavy, and who restored faith in humanity through simple acts of care.
Her deepest prayer is that even after her departure from this world, people will raise their hands in dua (prayer) for her forgiveness and continue to draw strength and wisdom from the lessons in her books. In her vision, those words and stories will live on as guiding lights for future generations, reminding them that kindness is timeless and that compassion never fades.
Tasneem’s philosophy of life can be captured in a few words—clear, heartfelt, and universally relevant. She believes that even the smallest act of kindness has the power to transform lives and ripple through generations.
Her message is both a reminder and a call to action:
“Kindness, empathy, and compassion can heal the world. Do not suffer in silence, and do not let others suffer in silence. Spread hope, spread smiles, and rise again.”
In these words lies the essence of Tasneem’s journey—a legacy built not on recognition or wealth, but on the healing power of humanity.
GCC News 24 is proud to feature Tasneem’s journey—a reminder that even in the middle of life’s struggles, one person’s kindness can change countless lives.
