Tere Ishk Mein has maintained a robust performance at the domestic box office, garnering approximately ₹10.25 crore on its fifth day, bringing its overall net collection in India to about ₹71 crore across all languages. Starring Dhanush and Kriti Sanon, the film has proven to be one of the standout performers this month, successfully sustaining audience engagement despite mid-week dips.
The movie launched with ₹16 crore on Friday, followed by ₹17 crore on Saturday and an impressive ₹19 crore on Sunday. Monday saw a standard drop to ₹8.75 crore; however, it rebounded sharply on Tuesday, fueled by positive word-of-mouth. The Hindi version remains the primary contributor, while the Tamil variant also holds firm, creating a strong multi-language appeal.
In comparison, Tere Ishk Mein is surpassing Dhanush’s earlier 2025 release Idli Kadai, which earned around ₹50 crore in India. The film is now eyeing the benchmark of ₹91 crore established by Kuberaa, and if current trends continue, it is well-positioned to exceed that mark, making it Dhanush’s top hit of the year.
Directed by Aanand L. Rai, the film delves into a passionate love story characterized by obsession, longing, and emotional depth. Dhanush’s compelling portrayal, alongside Kriti Sanon’s strong presence, has received significant acclaim. A review remarked, “Dhanush is outstanding, capturing Shankar’s emotional transitions with incredible nuance. His chemistry with Kriti Sanon enhances the film’s emotional weight. Kriti delivers yet again, infusing her complex character with nuance and strength.”
