Tom Cruise Applauds Glen Powell’s 'The Running Man' Premiere

Post by : Meena Hassan

Tom Cruise was fully present at the premiere of Glen Powell’s anticipated film, The Running Man, sharing insights with followers on Instagram.

The Mission: Impossible icon posted an upbeat photo with Powell, both enjoying specially designed popcorn boxes showcasing the film’s name. He complemented it with a group picture featuring director Edgar Wright and cast members Coleman Domingo, Lee Pace, and Emilia Jones.

“What a fantastic evening at the cinema with my pals! You all did an amazing job, congratulations! I laughed, experienced suspense, and indulged in way too much popcorn,” wrote Cruise.

In a reciprocating gesture, Glen Powell shared similar photos and humorously acknowledged Cruise: “The Running Man with THE Running Man.”

This isn't the first occasion Cruise has publicly shown his support for Powell. He also made an appearance at the London premiere of Twisters, leading Powell to caption a shared photo: “When your wingman leads you into the storm.”

The duo had previously collaborated in the 2022 blockbuster Top Gun: Maverick, which amassed $1.5 billion globally.

About 'The Running Man'

Adapted from Stephen King’s novel, The Running Man centers on a working-class father who enters a perilous game show to provide for his ailing daughter. Participants, known as Runners, must endure 30 days while being chased by trained assassins, with each broadcast to a ravenous audience and surviving days earning increasing monetary rewards.
