A delegation from the UAE Accountability Authority (UAEAA), led by Humaid Obaid Khalifa Obaid Abushibs, President of the UAEAA, participated in the ministerial meeting of the G20 Anti-Corruption Working Group held in Mpumalanga, South Africa. The meeting took place under South Africa’s presidency of the G20 for the year 2025. This participation highlights the UAE’s strong commitment to promoting transparency, integrity, and accountability in governance, both domestically and internationally.
During the meeting, the UAE delegation emphasized that the country’s approach to governance is guided by the principles of integrity, accountability, and ethical leadership. The UAEAA stressed that combating corruption is not only a legal obligation but also a key element in ensuring sustainable national development. By embedding accountability in its institutions, the UAE aims to maintain the trust of its citizens and strengthen the efficiency of its public administration systems.
The UAE delegation highlighted that the nation treats accountability and anti-corruption efforts as a strategic investment in long-term development.
